Crystal structure and microwave dielectric characteristics of ixiolite ceramics with molybdenum ion modification and tri-layered structure

Zipeng Huang et al.

Summary: The ZnTi1-xMoxNb2O8 ceramics with Mo4+ substitution for Ti4+ showed significantly improved microwave dielectric characteristics. The optimal Mo4+ substitution resulted in uniform grain size and minimized dielectric loss. The ionicity of the Nb-O bond was found to be the intrinsic factor affecting the r value.

Summary: In this study, (1-x)MgTiO3-x(Ca0.8Sr0.2)TiO3 composite ceramics were prepared using nanosized powders synthesized by chemical precipitation method. The microwave dielectric properties of the ceramics can be regulated by adding CST. The results demonstrate that ceramics prepared with nanosized powders exhibit excellent performance in terms of sintering temperature and microwave dielectric properties.

Structural dependence of microwave dielectric properties in ilmenite-type Mg(Ti1-xNbx)O3 solid solutions by Rietveld refinement and Raman spectra

Xibin Jia et al.

Summary: The studies on Mg(Ti1-xNbx)O-3 (x = 0-0.09) ceramics showed that replacing low-valence Ti4+ with high-valence Nb5+ can improve the dielectric properties, with the best sintering temperature being 1350 degrees C. The permittivity and Q x f initially increased and then decreased, mainly due to the effects of porosity caused by sintering temperature and the doping amount of Nb2O5. The increase in tau(f) is attributed to the increment in cell polarisability and the reduction in the distortion degree of the [TiO6] octahedral, as confirmed by Raman spectroscopy.

Summary: The addition of LBSCA glass was found to significantly influence the microwave dielectric properties of LNT ceramics, improving the quality factor and reducing the sintering temperature. After sintering at 925 degrees C, the sample with 0.4 wt% LBSCA exhibited excellent performance, making it suitable for low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology.

Fabrication and microwave dielectric characterization of cordierite/BZBS (Bi2O3-ZnO-B2O3-SiO2) glass composites for LTCC applications

Farzin Ebrahimi et al.

Summary: This study aimed to fabricate cordierite/BZBS glass composites through one-step heat treatment, selecting two composites for further examination based on densification behavior and microwave dielectric features. The dominant crystalline phase Gahnite precipitated in all composites sintered at 850 degrees C. Among the studied composites, C60G40 and C70G30 showed the highest quality factor and the least dielectric loss when sintered at different temperatures.

Structural, electrical properties and stability in microwave dielectric properties of (1-x) MgTiO3-x SrTiO3 composite ceramics

Susmita Rabha et al.

Summary: Development of (1-x) MgTiO3 (MTO)-x SrTiO3 (STO) composite ceramics and tuning of temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (tau(f)) near to zero through solid state reaction method have been reported. The physical diffusion of MTO and STO crystals together to form a single crystal structure without any chemical interaction was observed. An increase in dielectric constant with STO content was obtained, while the temperature-dependent dielectric constant exhibited significant dispersion.
