Self-assembled MoS2/magnetic ferrite CuFe2O4 nanocomposite for high-efficiency microwave absorption

Jinkun Liu et al.

Summary: The study introduces a novel absorber of CuFe2O4/MoS2 composite, which combines magnetic ferrite CuFe2O4 with 2D MoS2 nanosheets to achieve a wide effective absorption bandwidth. The cooperative interaction of dielectric and magnetic loss results in effective absorption of electromagnetic waves in the entire Kuband and part of the X-band. This work presents a strategy for obtaining novel high-performance absorbers.

PANI/BaFe12O19@Halloysite ternary composites as novel microwave absorbent

Zihao Chen et al.

Summary: A three-phase PANI/BaFe12O19@Hal heterostructure was designed and fabricated in this study as an efficient lightweight electromagnetic wave absorbing material. The material exhibited the best microwave absorption performance when the weight ratio of PANI was 40%, with a frequency bandwidth of 9.60 GHz and a minimum absorption peak of 14.77 dB at 11.92 GHz. Introducing halloysite improved the microwave absorption performance and enriched the absorbing mechanism of the composite materials.

The origin of the dual ferroic properties in quasi-centrosymmetrical SrFe12-xInxO19 hexaferrites

A. Trukhanov et al.

Summary: The local crystal/magnetic structures of SrFe12-xInxO19 solid solutions were investigated using neutron powder diffraction, revealing the presence of ferroelectric and ferromagnetic ordering. The existence of a nonzero dipole moment in SrFe12-xInxO19 hexaferrites remains controversial, with a possible connection to unequal distortions of neighbor oxygen polyhedra. The formation of the nonzero dipole moment in In-substituted SrFe12-xInxO19 hexaferrites was described based on neutron diffraction data.

Construction of core-shell BaFe12O19@MnO2 composite for effectively enhancing microwave absorption performance

Fanfan Hu et al.

Summary: BaFe12O19@MnO2 composite with core-shell structure was successfully designed and constructed using a facile hydrothermal method in this study. The introduction of nanostructured MnO2 enhanced the electromagnetic wave absorption performance, and the optimal temperature of the hydrothermal reaction was explored to achieve a maximum reflection loss of -54.39 dB and an effective absorbing bandwidth of 4.64 GHz. The simple preparation method and attractive performance make BaFe12O19@MnO2 a promising candidate as microwave absorbers.
