Nursing informatics competences of Finnish registered nurses after national educational initiatives: A cross-sectional study

Anu-Marja Kaihlanen et al.

Summary: Nursing informatics competences have become a necessary prerequisite for nurses globally, with a need to integrate them into nursing curricula. Finnish eHealth strategies in 2015 aimed to increase nursing informatics education, and a study in 2018 found that recent nursing graduates after these initiatives had higher competences compared to those who graduated earlier. Younger nurses and those working in specialized healthcare and elderly care had the highest competences.
