The Implication of Time-in-Range for the Management of Diabetes in India: A Narrative Review

Sudhir Tripathi et al.

Summary: The use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has a well-established role in achieving better glycemic control and preventing complications in Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. However, clinicians face challenges in learning and understanding the diverse reports of CGM devices, and there is a lack of consensus on the frequency of measurements. Guidelines from India suggest considering the use of CGM for patients with severe hyperglycemia or hypoglycemia, repeated hypoglycemia, asymptomatic hypoglycemia, nocturnal hypoglycemia, refractory hyperglycemia, or large blood glucose excursions.
