Adaptive Constrained Formation-Tracking Control for a Tractor-Trailer Mobile Robot Team With Multiple Constraints

Xu Jin et al.

Summary: In this article, we propose a novel adaptive constrained formation-tracking control algorithm for the trailers in a tractor-trailer mobile robot team. The algorithm satisfies multiple precision, safety, and feasibility constraint requirements and utilizes both universal barrier function approaches and a novel state transformation scheme to handle constraints of different nature. Adaptive estimators are introduced to estimate the rate of change of the desired trajectories for all trailers. Simulation examples demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed algorithm.

Event-Triggered Quantized Communication-Based Consensus in Multiagent Systems via Sliding Mode

Zhenyi Yuan et al.

Summary: This article investigates the consensus problem in multiagent systems with limited energy supplies and limited communication bandwidth. It proposes a novel approach based on event-triggered communication and state quantization, and introduces a multiple discontinuous sliding-mode surface to compensate for mismatched disturbances. The results show that consensus can be achieved asymptotically for all agents without any Zeno behavior. The work is further extended to self-triggered and periodic event-triggered cases, providing explicit triggering conditions and upper bounds for sampling periods.

Fully distributed bipartite leader-following consensus for uncertain linear multi-agent systems with event-triggered mechanism

Yuliang Cai et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the distributed bipartite leader-following consensus for uncertain linear multi-agent systems based on event-triggered mechanism. The proposed controllers can achieve intermittent communication, be independent of the global information of the communication topology, suppress the effect of uncertainty, and be applicable for the signed communication topology. Ultimately, numerical examples are provided to illustrate the feasibility of the main theoretical findings.

Periodic event-triggered control with multisource disturbances and quantized states

Mingyuan Zhao et al.

Summary: This study introduces a periodic event-triggered output-feedback control method for nonlinear systems with quantized states and multisource disturbances. A novel PET composite control method is proposed based on a PET extended state observer, which can handle both deterministic and stochastic disturbances, as well as quantization in data transmission. The approach uses a PET extended state observer to estimate states and disturbances simultaneously, considering both static and dynamic event-triggered conditions. Experimentation on a direct current brush motor is conducted to validate the proposed approach.

Summary: This article presents an event-triggered adaptive control strategy for nonlinear pure-feedback multi-agent systems, addressing the issue of unknown control gains. By utilizing the adding a power integrator technique, each agent's control item is a power exponential function, and the Nussbaum gain technique and tracking differentiator are used to ensure system stability. Additionally, an event-triggered control strategy is designed to reduce communication burden and computational cost, with Lyapunov stability method verifying the effectiveness of the theoretical results.

Summary: This paper presents an event-triggered cluster consensus scheme for heterogeneous nonlinear second-order multiagent systems subject to cyber attacks and actuator faults. The proposed control scheme does not require the communication topology to satisfy the in-degree balance between different clusters, and an event-triggered mechanism is developed to save network resources and exclude Zeno behavior. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control scheme.
