The effect of dental pulp stem cells and L-PRF when placed into the extraction sockets of impacted mandibular third molars on the periodontal status of adjacent second molars: a split-mouth, randomized, controlled clinical trial

Summary: This study compared the clinical and radiographic effectiveness of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) with L-PRF alone in the extraction socket of mandibular third molars. The results showed that both L-PRF and L-PRF + DPSC groups significantly improved probing pocket depth (PPD), clinical attachment levels (CAL), and vertical bone loss (VD) measurements after 6 months. However, DPSC did not significantly contribute to the improvement compared to L-PRF therapy alone.

Dental Pulp Stem Cells Ameliorate Elastase-Induced Pulmonary Emphysema by Regulating Inflammation and Oxidative Stress

Summary: This study evaluated the therapeutic effect of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) in a mouse model of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and investigated whether DPSCs reduce lung inflammation and oxidative stress by regulating the nuclear factor erythroid-2 related factor-2 (Nrf2). The results showed that DPSCs transplantation improved lung function, emphysema severity, and decreased inflammatory cytokine levels in lung tissue and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. DPSCs may play antioxidant and anti-inflammatory roles in COPD by activating the Nrf2 signaling pathway.
