Revisiting the pion Regge trajectories

Jiao-Kai Chen

Summary: This study proposes a model-independent ansatz to fit the pion Regge trajectories, showing that nonzero c(1) is reasonable and acceptable. The nonlinearities in the pion Regge trajectories can be explained by the presence of nonzero c(1).

Revisiting the assignment of 13D1 meson nonet

Xue-Chao Feng et al.

Summary: Based on the mass relations from the Regge phenomenology, this study revisits the mass spectrum of the 1(3)D(1) meson nonet and compares the results with various theoretical models. The strong decay properties of the kaon and 13 D1(ss (s) over bar ) mesons are also presented in the P-3(0) model. The findings suggest the need for further experimental testing of the assignment of the 1(3)D(1) meson nonet and provide mass constraints for the study of these states.

Mass spectra and decay properties of the higher excited ρ mesons

Xue-Chao Feng et al.

Summary: The properties of higher excited rho mesons are not well understood theoretically. In this study, the researchers employed a modified quark model and a strong decay model to investigate the mass spectra and decay properties of these mesons, and compared their predictions with experimental hints. This research is valuable for the search of higher excited rho mesons.

Mass spectrum and strong decays of strangeonium in a constituent quark model *

Qi Li et al.

Summary: In this study, the mass spectrum of strangeonium was calculated using a nonrelativistic linear potential quark model, and the possible assignments of strangeonium-like states were discussed based on theoretical results and observations.

Structure of the meson Regge trajectories

Jiao-Kai Chen

Summary: The study indicates that the forms of Regge trajectories depend on the energy region, and the fitted equations may not always have clear physical meanings or satisfy constraints. Although the fitted Regge trajectory can make satisfactory predictions mathematically, the variability of slopes in different kinds of mesons indicates that mass plays a role in determining the slope. The consistency of Regge trajectories obtained from different approaches is also discussed.
