Epidemiological Situation of Monkeypox Transmission by Possible Sexual Contact: A Systematic Review

Summary: This study investigated the epidemiological situation of monkeypox transmission through sexual contact and found thousands of confirmed cases worldwide, primarily affecting males with an average age of 36. Clinical manifestations of monkeypox included fever, lymphadenopathy, headache, malaise, and painful perianal and genital lesions. Local inoculation during sexual activity was identified as the main mode of transmission, with men who have sex with men having the highest risk.
