Bibliometric analysis of the research on hydrogen economy: An analysis of current findings and roadmap ahead

Sanjay Kumar Kar et al.

Summary: Based on a comprehensive analysis of 1275 articles published in the past five decades, it was found that the literature on the hydrogen economy has been increasing, particularly from 2016 to 2020. China and the United States are leading in research on hydrogen economy, focusing on multidisciplinary aspects such as hydrogen production, storage, transportation, application, and public policy formulation.

Activity of heterogeneous supported Cu and Ru catalysts in acceptor-less alcohol dehydrogenation

Kamila Kazmierczak et al.

Summary: Acceptor-less alcohol dehydrogenation reaction enables the co-production of valuable carbonyl compounds and H-2 from alcohols. Supported Ru and Cu catalysts were studied for their effect on the dehydrogenation reaction, with Cu/ZrO2 showing the highest conversion rate (60%) and selectivity (94%) towards 1-hydroxy-2-octanone.

Dehydrogenation of Cycloalkanes over N-Doped Carbon-Supported Catalysts: The Effects of Active Component and Molecular Structure of the Substrate

Jian Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of active metals loaded on nitrogen-doped carbon were prepared to investigate their roles in the dehydrogenation of cycloalkanes, with Pt/CN showing the highest catalytic activity. The differences in catalytic activity between different active metals diminish with increasing temperature, indicating a thermodynamic effect. Additionally, optimizing the alkyl substituents on cyclohexane can enhance the dehydrogenation activity and hydrogen production rate.

Effect of Ni, La, and Ce Oxides on a Cu/Al2O3 Catalyst with Low Copper Loading for Ethanol Non-oxidative Dehydrogenation

Gaukhar Yergaziyevna Yergaziyeva et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that modification with Ni, La, and Ce oxides can enhance the catalytic activity of Cu/Al2O3 catalyst in non-oxidative dehydrogenation of ethanol. Among the modifications, Cu-Ni/Al2O3 catalyst showed the highest selectivity for acetaldehyde, while Cu-La/Al2O3 catalyst exhibited the highest selectivity for butanol due to differences in acidity.
