Nickel-cobalt nitride nanoneedle supported on nickel foam as an efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen generation from ammonia electrolysis

Kun Jiang et al.

Summary: Studies have shown that nanostructured needle-like nickel-cobalt nitride electrodes prepared by hydrothermal method exhibit excellent electrochemical performance in alkaline ammonia system and can be used for efficient hydrogen generation. Ammonia electrolysis has a lower potential and can be a promising alternative to water splitting for hydrogen production.

Electrodeposition of self-supported Ni-Mg-La electrocatalyst on Ni foam for efficient hydrogen evolution reaction

Wei Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, a facile and efficient strategy was reported to prepare a self-supported nickel-magnesium-lanthanum (Ni-Mg-La) electrocatalyst for highly efficient hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline solution. The Ni-Mg-La electrodes exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity, delivering a high current density with a low overpotential.
