A novel integrated stochastic programming-information gap decision theory (IGDT) approach for optimization of integrated energy systems (IESs) with multiple uncertainties

Qie Sun et al.

Summary: This study proposes a novel integrated stochastic programming-information gap decision theory (IGDT) approach to handle uncertainties in the optimization of integrated energy systems (IES) operation and planning. By applying this approach to an office building, different operation schedules and equipment capacities are generated, representing risk-averse and risk-seeking strategies. The results show that adjusting the operation of gas turbines, energy storage units, and grid interaction can effectively handle uncertainties and resist associated risks.

Research on dynamic pricing and operation optimization strategy of integrated energy system based on Stackelberg game

Yuanyuan Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper establishes a Stackelberg game model between the integrated energy system operator (IESO) and the integrated energy system (IES), studying the pricing behavior and optimization strategy. The existence and uniqueness of the game equilibrium solution are proved using the double mutation differential evolution algorithm. An integrated energy system park is used as an example to demonstrate the rationality and effectiveness of the model.

Incentive-based integrated demand response for multiple energy carriers under complex uncertainties and double coupling effects

Shunlin Zheng et al.

Summary: Incentive-based integrated demand response is recognized as an effective tool to address supply-demand imbalances in energy systems with high levels of renewable energy. However, challenges such as uncertainties in renewable energy output and consumer responsiveness, as well as double coupling effects, have made designing incentive strategies difficult. The proposed model aims to optimize these uncertainties and coupling effects to achieve a win-win situation for multi-energy aggregators and consumers.

Energy management in microgrids including smart homes: A multi-objective approach

Seyed Amir Mansouri et al.

Summary: This paper presents a tri-objective optimization framework for energy management of microgrids in the presence of smart homes and demand response program. The model is implemented on an 83-bus distribution system with uncertainties of renewable energy resources output power and load demand taken into account. Results show that considering smart homes in the network reduces the operation cost and emission by about 16% and 17% respectively, with the best results obtained from the tri-objective model.
