Summary: By incorporating MAC5/PAS nanogels into the HASH hydrogel network, nanostructured hybrid hydrogels were prepared for wound dressing applications with reduced swelling capacity and controlled degradation rate. In vitro release experiments showed the pH dependence of drug release, with rapid release observed at pH 5.4, while in vitro and in vivo assays demonstrated the good biocompatibility of hydrogels.

This platform effectively removes bacteria, promotes wound healing, mediates macrophage transition, and accelerates tissue angiogenesis. PHMB@Au NPs have promising value as highly effective antimicrobial agents for patient management.
