Kinetics, isotherms, and mechanism of removing cationic and anionic dyes from aqueous solutions using chitosan/magnetite/silver nanoparticles

Mahmoud A. Abdelaziz et al.

Summary: Modified magnetite chitosan with silver nanoparticles was synthesized and tested for the removal of cationic and anionic dyes in aqueous solutions. The optimal pH for removing anionic dyes was found to be 4.0, while pH 8.0 was optimal for removing cationic dyes. The synthesized nanosorbents showed high adsorption capacity and regeneration capability for both dyes.

Polymer-based nanocomposites reinforced with functionalized-MWCNT and their utilizing as sorbent for removal of MB and Cd2+ ion from water media: A review

Mohammad Saeid Rostami et al.

Summary: Water, as the most essential substance for health and human life, is facing increasing pollution issues in recent years due to industrial development. Adsorption has been widely considered as an effective and low-cost method by researchers for removing contaminants from water media. Polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) reinforced with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) have shown high adsorption capacity in removing pollutants from water solutions, as indicated by experimental results and isotherm models.
