Chemical vapor deposition-grown nitrogen-doped graphene's synthesis, characterization and applications

Geetanjali Deokar et al.

Summary: Doping can modify the physical properties of carbon materials. Control of the substitutional doping of carbon lattice with N enables modulation of the electronic properties of graphene. Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is a bottom-up method that allows precise control of various types of substitutional N, but a reliable wafer-scale production strategy is still lacking. This review focuses on the CVD growth and characterization of two-dimensional N-doped graphene (NDG), as well as its popular applications in field-effect transistors and energy storage devices.
