Green-based bio-synthesis of nickel oxide nanoparticles in Arabic gum and examination of their cytotoxicity, photocatalytic and antibacterial effects

Summary: In this study, NiO-NPs were synthesized using a sol-gel method with Arabic gum (GA) as a stabilizing agent, and their structural, optical, magnetic properties, antimicrobial activity, and photocatalytic efficiency were investigated. The results demonstrated that NiO-NPs exhibited strong antimicrobial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, and achieved a photocatalytic degradation efficiency of about 80%.
