Taxi within a grab? A gender-invariant model of mobile taxi adoption

Keng-Boon Ooi et al.

Summary: This study offers a new perspective by considering both taxis and private vehicles in the broader context of ride-hailing terminology. Additionally, the study reveals that there are no significant differences among genders, indicating that the model is invariant across gender groups.

A cost evaluation model for IoT-enabled prefabricated construction supply chain management

Wennan Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an evaluation model for prefabricated construction to guide a supply chain with controllable costs. System dynamics is applied to simulate and analyze construction cost factors through Vensim software. The simulation results indicate that prefabricated construction cost is mainly influenced by factors such as government promotion degree, working pressure from on-site construction, prefab quality, load-bearing capacity per vehicle, and mold quality.

How to counter organisational inertia to enable knowledge management practices adoption in public sector organisations

Mona Ashok et al.

Summary: Knowledge management (KM) is associated with higher performance and innovative culture in the public sector, but hierarchical structures and bureaucratic culture inhibit its adoption. This study in the UAE public sector explores how organizational inertia can be countered to enable KM adoption, finding that transformation leadership, external factors, and organizational culture mediate the negative effects of inertia on KM practices adoption. The study also presents a new model and propositions for future research, as well as a comparison with private sector cases.
