A Two-Level Energy Management Strategy for Multi-Microgrid Systems With Interval Prediction and Reinforcement Learning

Luolin Xiong et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a two-level pricing framework based on interval predictions and model-free reinforcement learning to address the challenges in pricing problems of multi-microgrid systems. The framework sets retail electricity prices using reinforcement learning at the higher level, considering privacy protection and time-varying scenarios. At the lower level, operators solve optimal power flow problems to minimize costs and power loss. Interval predictions are used to quantify prediction errors and improve pricing policy flexibility in dealing with uncertainties in renewable energy generation and loads.

A Data-Driven Method for Prediction of Post-Fault Voltage Stability in Hybrid AC/DC Microgrids

Younes Seyedi et al.

Summary: This paper presents a new data-driven methodology for timely prediction of post-fault voltage stability in hybrid AC/DC microgrids. By processing sequences of short-time mean squared deviations using a deep learning system, the proposed method performs binary classification with delay constraints to predict the probability of persistent voltage disturbances after fault clearance. The results from extensive electromagnetic transient simulations confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method for online prediction and fast voltage regulation in microgrids.

Transient Stability of Hybrid Power Systems Dominated by Different Types of Grid-Forming Devices

Xiuqiang He et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the transient stability of power systems co-dominated by different types of grid-forming (GFM) devices. It is found that the synchronization behavior of the hybrid system can be described by a second-order motion equation, and two significant differences from conventional power systems are discovered, namely the enhanced damping effect of droop control and the frequency state variable jump during fault disturbances.
