Magneto-Mechanical Transmitters for Ultralow Frequency Near-Field Data Transfer

Rhinithaa P. Thanalakshme et al.

Summary: This article introduces the design principles and operating methods of resonant magneto-mechanical transmitters for ultralow frequency wireless communication. Two different types of transmitter designs are experimentally demonstrated, and the nonlinear electro-mechanical dynamics of the transmitters are studied. Techniques for controlling the operating frequency are explored through experiments, and amplitude modulation up to 10 bits-per-second is achieved.

Analysis of a Dual-Transduction Receiver for Electrodynamic Wireless Power Transfer

Miah A. Halim et al.

Summary: This article presents the characterization and a validated electromechanical model of a dual-transduction receiver for electrodynamic wireless power transfer system. The receiver utilizes both piezoelectric and electrodynamic transducers to generate electrical power at a specific frequency. An equivalent electrical circuit model is used to analyze the system behavior under low-frequency magnetic fields. Experimental results confirm the accuracy of the model. This design can be applied to wirelessly charge wearable and implantable medical devices.

Design, dynamics, and dissipation of a torsional-magnetic spring mechanism

Ali Kanj et al.

Summary: This study presents an analytical and experimental investigation of a torsional magnetic spring that utilizes magnetic field interactions between rotating and fixed permanent magnets. The study validates an analytical model for the system's dynamic behavior and explores the nonlinear effects observed in high amplitude oscillations. The findings suggest that these magnetic oscillators have potential applications in low-frequency electromagnetic signal transmission and designing magneto-elastic metamaterials.

Performance analysis and comparison of PM-Assisted synchronous reluctance motor with ferrites and Rare-earth magnet materials

Swapnil N. Jani et al.

Summary: The paper aims to provide a suitable design methodology for the manufacturing of Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor (PMASyRM) by choosing the appropriate permanent magnet material and reducing the use of rare earth magnets. It analyzes the performance of the motor with different volumes or quantities of PM materials and presents a tradeoff design to achieve the best performance parameters.
