Secure Beamforming for Cognitive Satellite Terrestrial Networks With Unknown Eavesdroppers

Zhi Lin et al.

Summary: This article proposes a beamforming scheme for a cognitive satellite terrestrial network, utilizing base station and cooperative terminal as interference resources to enhance system security performance against unknown eavesdroppers. With imperfect channel information of the mobile user and earth station, an optimization problem is formulated to degrade wiretap channels within the private signal beam region, while imposing constraints on SINR, interference level, and power budget. A joint artificial noise generation and cooperative jamming BF scheme is proposed to suppress interception, with effectiveness confirmed through computer simulations.

User Management in Cell-Free Massive MIMO Systems with Limited Fronthaul Capacity

Siminfar Samakoush Galougah et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an algorithm for assigning a limited number of users to each AP in the CF mMIMO architecture, while considering fronthaul capacity constraints and employing three strategies for sending signals from APs to the CPU. Experimental results show that the proposed user management scheme enhances the performance of ECF and EMCF.

Artificial Noise-Aided MIMO Physical Layer Authentication With Imperfect CSI

Jake Bailey Perazzone et al.

Summary: Fingerprint embedding at the physical layer is a highly tunable authentication framework that achieves information-theoretic security by hiding a traditional HMAC tag in noise. The use of artificial noise (AN) in a multiantenna scenario to obscure the tag relies on perfect knowledge of the channel state information (CSI) between legitimate users. Research shows that while utilizing AN can greatly improve security, it may suffer from diminishing returns when the quality of CSI knowledge is poor.
