Fault Estimation for Switched Interconnected Nonlinear Systems With External Disturbances via Variable Weighted Iterative Learning

Shuiqing Xu et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the fault estimation issue of switched interconnected nonlinear systems (SINSs) under external disturbances. A distributed iterative learning observer (DILO) is designed to estimate faults of all subsystems under external disturbances by utilizing related information. A novel variable weighted iterative learning (VWIL)-based fault-estimation law is proposed to fast-track fault signals and weaken disturbance effects. Convergence conditions are achieved using the ?-norm method and mathematical induction. The gain matrices of DILO and VWIL law are calculated simultaneously. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method, showing accurate fault-estimation results can be obtained after about the 20th iteration.

A Simultaneous Diagnosis Method for Power Switch and Current Sensor Faults in Grid-Connected Three-Level NPC Inverters

Shuiqing Xu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a simultaneous diagnosis method for power switch open-circuit faults and current sensor faults of grid-connected three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverters. By designing an adaptive reaching law and reducing the steady-state resonance, a novel interval sliding model observer is developed to accurately and rapidly track and estimate the three-phase currents. A faulty phase detection scheme and identification methods are proposed to achieve sensitive and robust detection and identification results. Hardware-in-the-loop test results validate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.

An Online Diagnosis Method for Sensor Intermittent Fault Based on Data-Driven Model

Kun Zhang et al.

Summary: In this letter, an intelligent diagnosis method based on a data-driven model is proposed for sensor intermittent faults (IFs). The method discusses the manifestation of IFs in the time domain to understand their distinctive characteristics, and constructs a data-driven signal predictor using the nonlinear autoregressive exogenous structure with the extreme learning machine algorithm. The proposed method generates online residual by comparing the output of the predictor with the real sensor's output, and utilizes residual evaluation for fault diagnosis decision-making to identify sensor IFs and permanent faults simultaneously.

Adaptive multiscale and dual subnet convolutional auto-encoder for intermittent fault detection of analog circuits in noise environment

Xiaoyu Fang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an adaptive multiscale and dual subnet convolutional auto-encoder (AMDSCAE) to detect intermittent faults (IFs) in analog circuits. The AMDSCAE method can assign different attention and fuse multiscale information adaptively, resulting in better noise robustness. Additionally, the dual subnet structure enhances the IF detection ability and can detect weaker faults. Experimental results on three typical analog filter circuits demonstrate that AMDSCAE has better noise immunity and can detect weaker IFs.

An Analog Circuit Fault Diagnosis Approach Based on Improved Wavelet Transform and MKELM

Chaolong Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an improved wavelet transform method for diagnosing analog circuit faults, which selects the optimal wavelet basis function to extract features from circuit output signals. A multiple kernel extreme learning machine (MKELM) model is initialized using training data and the parameters are optimized using particle swarm optimization algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in analog circuit fault diagnosis and show that MKELM outperforms other classifiers.

An intermittent fault diagnosis method of analog circuits based on variational modal decomposition and adaptive dynamic density peak clustering

Jianfeng Qu et al.

Summary: In this study, an adaptive dynamic density peak clustering (ADDPC) method is proposed for diagnosing intermittent faults in analog circuits. The method utilizes variational modal decomposition (VMD) and autoencoder to extract fault samples, and automatically identifies fault categories using a dynamic density kernel and particle swarm optimization. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method performs better in diagnosing faults in the presence of noise.

Distributed Intermittent Fault Detection for Linear Stochastic Systems Over Sensor Network

Yichun Niu et al.

Summary: This article investigates the problem of intermittent fault detection for linear stochastic systems over sensor networks. A novel residual generator is designed using the moving-horizon estimator to realize the distributed detection of IFs. Global detectability conditions and a cooperative decision-making strategy are proposed to ensure only one detection result and avoid collisions of detection results.
