Predictive Parameters of Febrile Neutropenia and Clinical Significance of G-CSF Receptor Signaling Pathway in the Development of Neutropenia during R-CHOP Chemotherapy with Prophylactic Pegfilgrastim in Patients with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma

Do Young Kim et al.

Summary: This study investigated the predictive factors affecting the incidence of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia (CIN) and febrile neutropenia (FN) in DLBCL patients receiving R-CHOP chemotherapy with pegfilgrastim. The occurrence of CIN was associated with overexpression of G-CSF receptor signaling pathway markers. FN was significantly associated with advanced stage and low serum albumin levels.

Risk of chemotherapy-induced febrile neutropenia in patients with metastatic cancer not receiving granulocyte colony-stimulating factor prophylaxis in US clinical practice

Ahuva Averin et al.

Summary: This retrospective study revealed that the majority of metastatic cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, particularly those at higher risk for febrile neutropenia (FN), did not receive recommended G-CSF prophylaxis, leading to notably high FN incidence. It is crucial to carefully identify and manage patients with elevated FN risk to ensure appropriate use of supportive care.
