The impacts of obesity on health care delivery are significant, with increased risk of chronic diseases and the need for improved clinical practices. Changing the view on obesity and prioritizing weight management can lead to advancements in healthcare facilities and equipment, as well as bias training and education opportunities. Ultimately, this will result in better care for individuals with obesity, improved health outcomes, and cost-savings.
The impacts of obesity on health care delivery are undeniable. Adiposopathy contrib-utes to an individual's increased risk of a multitude of chronic diseases. These condi-tions are what have become the focus of health care professionals' clinical practice in today's world. With social efforts to abandon the view that obesity is a choice, there is greater possibility in addressing the topic of weight and prioritizing weight manage-ment. From a systems level, this hopefully means accelerated advancements in health care facilities and equipment. From an individual level, this involves more systematic bias training and more opportunities for education on obesity management. Ulti-mately, this will yield higher quality of care for individuals with obesity, improved health outcomes, and cost-savings.
