Comparison of Perioperative Outcomes Between Retroperitoneal Single-Port and Multiport Robot-Assisted Partial Nephrectomies

Arnold R. R. Palacios et al.

Summary: This study reports the early institutional experience with the single-port robotic platform and compares perioperative outcomes between single-port robot-assisted partial nephrectomies (SP-RAPN) and multiport robot-assisted partial nephrectomies (MP-RAPN) using a retroperitoneal approach. The results demonstrate that retroperitoneal SP-RAPN appears to be safe without compromising perioperative outcomes when compared with MP-RAPN for low-complexity renal masses.

Warm ischemia time length during on-clamp partial nephrectomy: does it really matter?

Ali Abdel Raheem et al.

Summary: The length of warm ischemia time (WIT) does not have an impact on long-term renal function outcomes in patients with two kidneys and preoperative eGFR=60 mL/min/1.73m(2) undergoing on-clamp partial nephrectomy (PN), according to a large multicenter international cohort study.
