One-Step Synthesis of Sequence-Controlled Polyester-block-Poly(ester-alt-thioester) by Chemoselective Multicomponent Polymerization

Xiao-Lu Chen et al.

Summary: By using a chemoselective copolymerization method, we have successfully extended the polymerization of thioanhydride monomers to sulfur-containing heterocycles, synthesizing sequence-controlled block copolymers. In this process, we achieved excellent chemoselectivity and sequence structure control by selectively copolymerizing anhydride and epoxide monomers using a rationally designed catalyst.
