However, directly applying CNN to general data could result in poor classification performance due to the weak or no correlation of features. To address this problem, a combined technique of FCPSO and CNN, called FCPSO-CNN, is designed to effectively solve the classification problems for generic datasets. Experimental results show that FCPSO-CNN achieves the best classification accuracy and outperforms other classifiers.
