A systematic review of adherence to physical activity interventions in individuals with type 2 diabetes

Christopher S. MacDonald et al.

Summary: Limited research exists on adherence to physical activity in lifestyle interventions for T2D patients, with varying adherence rates observed. Adherence was higher in interventions with supervised training, while study duration, risk of bias, and participants' sex were not associated with adherence. These findings highlight the need for further research and consideration when planning lifestyle interventions for T2D patients.

Body mass, cardiorespiratory fitness, and cardiometabolic risk over time: Findings from the Cooper Center Longitudinal Study

David Leonard et al.

Summary: Increasing body mass over a 10-year period was significantly associated with higher odds of metabolic syndrome, while increasing fitness was linked to lower odds of metabolic syndrome. Changes in body mass and fitness were also significantly related to changes in the components of metabolic syndrome.
