AI-Envisioned Blockchain-Enabled Signature-Based Key Management Scheme for Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems

Summary: This article introduces a new blockchain-based key management protocol for AI-enabled ICPSs. The protocol enables key establishment between IoT smart devices and gateway nodes. It utilizes fog servers to construct blocks with secure data from smart devices and adds them to the blockchain through cloud servers. The proposed scheme is able to resist potential attacks in ICPS environments and shows superiority over recent schemes based on a detailed comparative analysis. Practical implementation using blockchain demonstrates the computational costs variation with the number of transactions per block and the number of blocks mined.

An energy-efficient and secure identity based RFID authentication scheme for vehicular cloud computing

Summary: Vehicular Cloud Computing (VCC) is a contemporary paradigm that combines the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and vehicular networking technologies for vehicle-to-device, vehicle-to-infrastructure, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication. However, energy-efficient privacy and security are crucial challenges in VCC. To address this, we propose an identity-based authentication scheme that incorporates radio frequency identification (RFID) and evaluate its security and robustness through informal and formal analysis. Our scheme proves to be resistant to various attacks and efficient based on the Random Oracle Model (ROM). Additionally, performance comparison demonstrates the efficiency of our proposed scheme in the VCC environment.

The security of AAS-IoTSG has been rigorously tested and the comparative study shows it has better security and functionality features with less communication and computation overheads compared to existing authentication mechanisms in smart grid systems.
