PVDF-based matrix with covalent bonded BaTiO3 nanowires enabled ultrahigh energy density and dielectric properties

Excellent energy storage performance in polymer composites with insulating and polarized two-dimensional fillers

Sub-Nanowires Boost Superior Capacitive Energy Storage Performance of Polymer Composites at High Temperatures

Enhanced energy density in sandwich-structured P(VDF-HFP) nanocomposites containing Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 nanofibers

Summary: In this study, one-dimensional Hf0.5Zr0.O-5(2) nanofibers (HZO-NFs) with low permittivity were proposed as fillers in P(VDF-HFP) nanocomposites for energy-storage applications. The nanocomposites with 3 wt% HZONFs showed a high discharged energy density and breakdown strength. The sandwich-structured P-3wt%HZO/P-P nanocomposite achieved even better performance at an ultrahigh breakdown strength. The introduction of HZO-NFs effectively improved the distribution of electric field and increased the breakdown strength.

The CsPbBr3 nanofibers obtained exhibit intense fluorescence and high stability when exposed to water, due to the peripheral protecting matrix of PAN. The quantum yield of CsPbBr3@PAN nanofibers maintained 87.5% of the original value after 100 days of water immersion.

Enabling high energy storage performance in PVDF-based nanocomposites filled with high-entropy oxide nanofibers

Achieving high energy storage performance in BiFeO3@TiO2 filled PVDF-based composites with opposite double heterojunction via electric field tailoring

Summary: Polymer-based dielectric capacitors with high energy density and efficiency are widely recognized. This study proposes an innovative design of BiFeO3@TiO2 (BFO@TO) fillers, which are added into a polymer matrix to fabricate composites with high energy density and breakdown strength. The BFO/TO/BFO triple-layered structure of the filler creates heterojunction electric fields that improve the breakdown strength. Additionally, the narrow bandgap semiconductor BFO enhances the separation of electrons and holes, further improving the built-in electric field and reducing dielectric breakdown.

Significant Improvements in Dielectric Constant and Energy Density of Ferroelectric Polymer Nanocomposites Enabled by Ultralow Contents of Nanofillers
