Review on effects of some insecticides on honey bee health

Hang Zhao et al.

Summary: Insecticides are useful for controlling pests, but their indiscriminate use has negative effects on nontarget insects, especially honey bees. Different classes of insecticides affect honey bee growth, foraging activity, and pollination services by influencing their senses and abilities. Honey bees resist the harmful effects of insecticides through gene expression coordination. More research has been conducted on the effects of neonicotinoids on honey bee health compared to other insecticides.

Exposure to difenoconazole induces reproductive toxicity in zebrafish by interfering with gamete maturation and reproductive behavior

Xiangguang Chen et al.

Summary: This study evaluates the reproductive toxicity of difenoconazole (DCZ), a triazole fungicide, using zebrafish as a model. The results show that DCZ inhibits gamete maturation, disrupts reproductive behavior, reduces fertility, and induces transcriptional changes in genes involved in the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis.

Molecular mechanism of reproductive toxicity induced by beta-cypermethrin in zebrafish

Summary: The study demonstrated that Beta-cypermethrin may have adverse effects on the reproductive system of zebrafish through delaying gonadal development, disturbing sex hormone secretion, and affecting HPG axis gene expression.
