Encapsulation of Metal Clusters within Porous Organic Materials: From Synthesis to Catalysis Applications

Xiao-Dong Yang et al.

Summary: Metal clusters (MCs) possess distinct geometric and electronic structures, and their outstanding performance in catalysis applications have led to significant research interest. However, smaller-sized MCs are easily deactivated due to migration coalescence, making the search for an appropriate stabilizer urgently demanded. Porous organic polymers (POPs) and organic molecular cages (OMCs) have emerged as promising materials for encapsulating MCs, ensuring uniform size distribution and stability.

Two sides of thermal stability of energetic liquid: Vaporization and decomposition of 3-methylfuroxan

Nikita Muravyev et al.

Summary: The thermal behavior of 3-Methylfuroxan (MMF) was analyzed using thermal analysis tools, and the thermal decomposition reaction was observed using pressure DSC. Kinetic analysis revealed two major stages, and the activation energy of the noncatalytic reaction was determined in a solution. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry coupled with thermal analyzer was used to identify the gas decomposition products, and the formation mechanism of a geminal cyanonitro compound was proposed.
