Asiaticoside polymeric nanoparticles for effective diabetic wound healing through increased collagen biosynthesis: In-vitro and in-vivo evaluation

Summary: This study developed a gelatin-based biodegradable hydrogel embedded with Asiaticoside polymeric nanoparticles (AST PNP) to enable sustained release of AST and enhance its therapeutic effects. The AST PNP demonstrated sustained release profile and enhanced intra-cellular uptake in fibroblasts, leading to significant proliferation and migration of fibroblasts and improved collagen biosynthesis. The application of AST PNP gel also showed improved wound healing efficacy in diabetic rats.

Enzymatically crosslinked hydrogel based on tyramine modified gelatin and sialylated chitosan

Multifunctional Biomimetic Nanofibrous Scaffold Loaded with Asiaticoside for Rapid Diabetic Wound Healing

Summary: This study successfully prepared a multifunctional nanofibrous scaffold loaded with asiaticoside and evaluated its wound healing efficacy in diabetic rats. The nanofibers exhibited good fiber morphology and tensile strength, sustained release of asiaticoside, low cytotoxicity, and excellent antimicrobial activity against common bacteria. In-vivo experiments showed that the nanofibrous scaffold had a better wound healing effect and restored the normal skin structure. These findings suggest that the developed nanofibrous scaffold has great potential for diabetic wound healing applications.

3D-bioprinted peptide coupling patches for wound healing

The 3D-bioprinting technology allowed for the fabrication of individual patches according to the shape characteristics of the damaged tissue. Injectable hydrogels based on silk fibroin peptide grafted hydroxypropyl chitosan and oxidized microcrystalline cellulose for scarless wound healing

Summary: Scars are a challenge to eliminate in wound healing. In this study, an injectable hydrogel was developed with silk fibroin peptide grafted hydroxypropyl chitosan and oxidized microcrystalline cellulose. The hydrogel's properties could be adjusted by changing the ratio of the components. The hydrogel, loaded with tetramethylpyrazine, promoted cell activity retention and accelerated wound healing while preventing scar formation in animal experiments.

Immobilization of a Bienzymatic System via Crosslinking to a Metal-Organic Framework

It supported adhesion, proliferation, and migration of human foreskin-derived fibroblasts and keratinocytes, exhibited angiogenic potential, showed excellent antibacterial activity, and promoted rapid healing in full thickness burn wounds with superior angiogenesis and other positive healing indicators. The bioactive CsADM-Cl hydrogel has significant clinical potential as an injectable antibacterial matrix for treating challenging burn wounds.
