Enhanced CO2 Photoreduction by Ni(OH)2-x/WO3 Nanofibers with Efficient CO2 Activation and Charge Separation

Summary: In this study, WO3 nanofibers were modified by in situ growth of freestanding Ni(OH)(2-x) nanosheets with oxygen vacancies, which facilitated charge separation and CO2 reduction. The introduction of Ni(OH)(2-x) induced a built-in electric field at the interface, driving the photogenerated electrons to Ni(OH)(2-x) and achieving spatial charge separation. Additionally, CO2 adsorbed on Ni(OH)(2-x) exhibited apparent molecular activation.

Facile synthesis of three-dimensional hollow porous carbon doped polymeric carbon nitride with highly efficient photocatalytic performance
