Modelling of shallow landslides with machine learning algorithms

Zhongqiang Liu et al.

Summary: This paper introduces three machine learning algorithms applied to spatial modelling of shallow landslides near Kvam in Norway, with slope angle identified as the most significant controlling factor. The GBRT model shows the most promising results for spatial prediction of shallow landslides, with 95% landslide detection probability and 87% prediction efficiency.
