Association Between Prenatal Exposure to Antipsychotics and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Preterm Birth, and Small for Gestational Age

Zixuan Wang et al.

Summary: This cohort study did not find evidence suggesting that prenatal exposure to antipsychotics increased the risk of ADHD, ASD, or being small for gestational age. While a small increased risk of preterm birth was observed in the primary analysis, additional analyses comparing gestational exposure with past exposure and with gestationally nonexposed siblings did not support this increase in risk.

Secular trends in fall-related hospitalizations in adolescents, youth and adults: a population-based study

Casey T. L. Tang et al.

Summary: The study found that the incidence of fall-related hospitalization continues to increase among individuals aged over 10 in Hong Kong, indicating that falls have become a public health issue across all age groups. As age increases, the number of falls has increased, but the length of hospital stay per episode has decreased. Further research on the differences in underlying risk factors and comorbidities between younger and older fall patients is warranted.
