Nanosized Titanium Dioxide Induced Apoptosis and Abnormal Expression of Blood-Testis Barrier Junction Proteins Through JNK Signaling Pathway in TM4 Cells

Yaxin Deng et al.

Summary: This study found that nanosized titanium dioxide can induce mitochondria-mediated apoptosis and abnormal expression of BTB junction proteins in TM4 cells by activating the JNK signaling pathway.

NaAsO2 decreases GSH synthesis by inhibiting GCLC and induces apoptosis through Hela cell mitochondrial damage, mediating the activation of the NF-κB/miR-21 signaling pathway

Shanshan Ran et al.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate whether NaAsO2 might induce mitochondrial damage and apoptosis of cervical cancer cells through NF-kappa B/miR-21/GCLC induced oxidative stress, and play the anti-tumor role of arsenic as a potential drug for the treatment of cervical cancer. Results showed that NaAsO2 could lead to mitochondrial apoptosis of cervical cancer cells, with involvement of NF-kappa B and miR-21.

The role of TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway in periodontitis-induced liver inflammation of rats

Yiyun Yue et al.

Summary: This study aimed to clarify the immune mechanism of hepatic injury induced by periodontitis using a rat model. The results showed higher levels of inflammatory response and bone retraction in the periodontitis group, along with elevated levels of immune markers. The study concluded that the TLR4/MyD88/NF-kappa B pathway may play a role in periodontitis-induced liver inflammation in rats.

Deletion of TLR4 attenuates lipopolysaccharide-induced acute liver injury by inhibiting inflammation and apoptosis

Sai-nan Chen et al.

Summary: This study found that silencing TLR4 attenuates LPS-induced liver injury by inhibiting inflammation and apoptosis, possibly through the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB signaling pathway. Deletion of TLR4 can mitigate macrophage inflammation and apoptosis, providing hepatoprotection against septic acute liver injury induced by LPS.

Investigation of the ameliorative effects of baicalin against arsenic trioxide-induced cardiac toxicity in mice

Xiaoqi Sun et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that Baicalin alleviates arsenic trioxide-induced cardiac toxicity by inhibiting oxidative stress, apoptosis, and inflammation, potentially through the inhibition of the TLR4/NF-cB signaling pathway.

Arsenic exposure induces intestinal barrier damage and consequent activation of gut-liver axis leading to inflammation and pyroptosis of liver in ducks

Gaolong Zhong et al.

Summary: Exposure to arsenic trioxide (ATO) can induce intestinal damage, liver inflammation, and pyroptosis in ducks. Changes in intestinal microbiota, increased intestinal permeability, and upregulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines were observed in ATO-exposed ducks. The activation of the LPS/TLR4/NF-kappa B signaling pathway and NLRP3 inflammasome may play a crucial role in ATO-induced hepatotoxicity.
