Summary: This work investigates the impact of porosity distributions on the thermal buckling analysis of functionally graded material (FGM) sandwich plates. Different distribution models and thermal loads are considered. Effective material properties and thermal expansion coefficients of FGM sandwich plates are evaluated using Voigt's micromechanical model. Active Vibration Control of Piezoelectric Sandwich Plates

Zhicheng Huang et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the active vibration control of piezoelectric sandwich plate. The study establishes the dynamic equation for active control based on laminate theory and constitutive equation of piezoelectric material, and solves it using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. Parametric studies are conducted to analyze the effects of different boundary conditions and piezoelectric patch positions. The results show that these factors significantly impact the natural frequency of the plate structures. Moreover, the study also investigates active vibration control and finds that the speed feedback coefficient and position of the piezoelectric patches play important roles in the control effectiveness and cost.
