Controllable preparation of CuCo2S4 nanotube arrays for high-performance hybrid supercapacitors

This minireview summarizes the latest developments of bimetallic phosphides in photocatalytic reactions, including loading methods, efficiency in H-2 evolution, and application under dye sensitization effect.

Enhancing hydrogen peroxide activation of CuCo layered double hydroxide by compositing with biochar: Performance and mechanism

Layered Double Hydroxide Hollowcages with Adjustable Layer Spacing for High Performance Hybrid Supercapacitor

Summary: Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are promising electrodes for supercapacitors due to their adjustable composition and superior high capacity, but their experimental specific capacity is lower than theoretical value. Intercalating large-sized anions to increase interlayer spacing is crucial for performance improvement, as demonstrated in a study where a cobalt-nickel LDH hollowcage intercalated with 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid showed improved specific capacity and rate performance. The sample with the largest layer spacing achieved a maximum specific capacity of 229 mA h g(-1) at 1 A g(-1), and a hybrid supercapacitor with this sample showed good energy density and cycle stability.

High-performance supercapacitor based on highly active P-doped one-dimension/two-dimension hierarchical NiCo2O4/NiMoO4 for efficient energy storage

Electrochemical neutralization energy: from concept to devices

The use of decoupled acid-base asymmetric electrolytes shows potential in improving device performance by converting thermal energy into electricity. This review introduces the concept of electrochemical neutralization energy (ENE) and summarizes recent progress in ENE-assisted electrochemical energy devices.
