Co-precipitation of zinc ferrite nanoparticles in the presence and absence of polyvinyl alcohol with other constant parameters and the analysis of polyvinyl alcohol mediated zinc ferrite nanoparticles

S. Sugi et al.

Summary: In this study, zinc ferrite nanoparticles with controlled morphology were synthesized using a less explored coprecipitation technique. The presence of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as a mediator resulted in larger crystallite size, refined morphology, smaller particle size, and higher surface to volume ratio of the zinc ferrite nanoparticles. The sample exhibited narrow bandgap energy, ferrimagnetic behavior, and showed photocatalytic and antibacterial activity.

Synthesis and characterization of Mg2+substituted MnFe2O4 nanoparticles for supercapacitor applications

Ala Manohar et al.

Summary: Supercapacitors are extensively researched as one of the most promising energy storage devices due to their unique advantages. Mixed spinel ferrites have been widely used in electrochemical (EC) devices, thanks to their exceptional chemical stability and significant surface area. Nanoscale spinel ferrite particles have several promising applications compared to bulk materials, mainly influenced by particle sizes and surface coordinating environments.

Structural, dielectric, and electrical transport properties of Al3+ substituted nanocrystalline Ni-Cu spinel ferrites prepared through the sol-gel route

M. M. Rahman et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of nanocrystalline materials were synthesized using the sol-gel auto combustion technique, and the substitution effect of the Al3+ content on the structural, morphological, dielectric, and electrical properties of the nanoparticles was analyzed. The study found that the synthesized nanoparticles had a high crystalline nature and homogeneity. The contribution of grains and grain boundaries to the material properties was resolved, and the variation of AC resistivity with frequency was explained by the hopping mechanism.
