Experimental and theoretical investigations of the role of (Co-Ti) in the modification of the functional properties of nanocrystalline Ni-Zn ferrites

K. E. Rady et al.

Summary: The present study investigated the role of Co2+-Ti4+ ions-magnetic and nonmagnetic-in modifying the structure, electrical and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Ni-Zn ferrites. The effects of Co-Ti ion concentration on the hysteresis loop parameters, saturation magnetization, initial permeability, Curie temperature, and DC resistivity were studied. The results showed that increasing the Co-Ti ion concentration resulted in a decrease in the magnetic and electrical properties of the ferrite samples. The sample with x = 0.1 showed high resistivity and relatively high magnetic properties, making it suitable for certain technical applications.

Enhancing the physical and dielectric characteristics of Mn-Zn-Ni-Ti ferrites using Gd3+ ion

K. E. Rady et al.

Summary: This study investigates the role of Gd3+ ions in a novel spinel ferrite with a general composition of Mn0.9Zn0.1Ni0.05Ti0.05GdxFe1.9-xO4; 0.0 <= x <= 0.04, and determines the critical concentration of Gd3+ ions that improves the structural and dielectric properties of the ferrite. The study finds that increasing the Gd concentration enhances the physical and dielectric properties of the samples, with an increase in AC resistivity and a 68% reduction in dielectric loss.

Improved magnetic and electrical properties of transition metal doped nickel spinel ferrite nanoparticles for prospective applications

Usman Ahmad et al.

Summary: Mn2+ and Cr3+ co-doped nickel ferrite nanoparticles were synthesized using a cost effective and eco-friendly chemical co-precipitation method. The influence of dopants on the structural, electrical and magnetic properties of nickel ferrite was investigated. The composition with dopant content of x,y = 0.1 and 0.2 exhibited optimum performance.

Influence of Mg substitution on structural, magnetic and electrical properties of Zn-Cu ferrites

Md. Johurul Islam et al.

Summary: Studies on Mg substituted Zn-Cu ferrites with chemical formula of Zn0.6Cu0.4-xMgxFe2O4 were synthesized by solid-state reaction technique. The structural phase of all the samples is characterized by XRD, showing single phased cubic spinel structure. Density of the samples increases with the increase of Mg quantity, while average grain diameter decreases with increasing Mg content. All samples exhibit soft ferromagnetic behavior, with saturation magnetization decreasing with increasing Mg quantity.
