Photonic Generation and Switching of Multi-Format Chirp Waveforms With Anti-Dispersion Transmission

Summary: In this study, we propose a photonic approach for generating switchable multi-format chirp waveforms with anti-dispersion transmission capability using a dual-drive Mach-Zehnder modulator. Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach under different frequencies and bandwidths, and successful elimination of power fading induced by dispersion.
