Color speckle assessment for laser projection systems based on human speckle perception

Linxiao Deng et al.

Summary: A color speckle measurement method for laser projection systems based on human speckle perception was proposed in this study. The proposed method, which took into account the practical irregular spectrum distribution of a laser projection system, provided more accurate results compared to previous monochromatic light approximation methods. Experimental verification was conducted using a complete laser projector, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed method. It can serve as a basis for standardized color speckle measurement applications in laser projection systems.

Color-speckle assessment in multi-primary laser-projection systems based on a 3D Jzazbz color space

Linxiao Deng et al.

Summary: We propose a color-speckle assessment method based on a three-dimensional color space, suitable for different types of laser projectors. This method defines new physical quantities to describe color-speckle characteristics, providing a general and intuitive evaluation approach. Experimental verification confirms the effectiveness of this method.

3.6 W compact all-fiber Pr3+-doped green laser at 521 nm

Jinhai Zou et al.

Summary: This article introduces an all-fiber green laser that operates directly in the green spectral region. By optimizing the design and using numerical simulations, the optimal gain fiber length, output mirror reflectivity, and doping level were determined, resulting in improved power and efficiency. This research may open up new possibilities for applications of green lasers in fields such as biomedicine, laser display, underwater detection, and spectroscopy.

High speckle reduction rate in a laser projection system

Yue-Xun Song et al.

Summary: This paper presents a design for a laser picoprojector with a high reduction rate in speckle contrast value, achieved by using a holographic diffuser, deformable mirror, and FET lens. By comparing different holographic diffusers and FET lenses combined with a deformable mirror, the reduction rate of speckle contrast value was found to increase significantly, allowing for quicker attainment of minimum speckle values.

Six-primary-laser projection display system: demonstration and stereo color gamut measurement

Liquan Zhu et al.

Summary: The article presents the mainstream light sources used in current display systems and introduces the development of a six-primary-laser projection display system. A simple and fast method for determining the luminance of each laser and calculating the gamut volume is proposed, along with a gamut measurement method. Experimental results show good agreement with theoretical calculations, confirming the accuracy of the proposed analytical and experimental methods.
