High dimensional generalized linear models for temporal dependent data

Yuefeng Han et al.

Summary: In this article, we study the statistical error bounds and support recovery guarantees of high dimensional generalized linear models with temporal dependent data. We propose a new robust M-estimator for high dimensional time series and investigate its properties both theoretically and numerically. We also introduce a robust estimator for linear regression and show that it achieves nearly the optimal rate for heavy-tailed and serially dependent data. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method compared to the classical Lasso method, especially in the analysis of high-frequency trading data in finance.

High-Dimensional Vector Autoregressive Time Series Modeling via Tensor Decomposition

Di Wang et al.

Summary: This article proposes a method to rearrange transition matrices of the model into a tensor form, restricting parameter space through tensor decomposition to improve model interpretability and estimation efficiency. Different algorithms are introduced for optimizing estimation in different dimensional cases.

Finite-time analysis of vector autoregressive models under linear restrictions

Yao Zheng et al.

Summary: This paper develops a unified finite-time theory for the estimation of possibly unstable vector autoregressive models, showing how linear restrictions can reduce error bounds and interact with model parameters. The theory bridges the gap between stable and unstable regimes and accurately characterizes the effect of restrictions.

A SHRINKAGE PRINCIPLE FOR HEAVY-TAILED DATA: HIGH-DIMENSIONAL ROBUST LOW-RANK MATRIX RECOVERY

Jianqing Fan et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a simple principle for robust statistical inference via shrinkage on the data, expanding the scope of high-dimensional techniques. Through an illustration of robust estimation of low-rank matrix, the proposed methodology shows similar statistical error rates under different conditions. Extensive simulations support the theoretical results, revealing the optimality of robust covariance estimator under high dimensions.
