A solution-processed n-type conducting polymer with ultrahigh conductivity

Haoran Tang et al.

Summary: This research introduces a facilely synthesized highly conductive n-type polymer with breakthrough conductivity and solution processability. By improving doping efficiency, the polymer achieves a doping level of almost 0.9 charges per repeating unit. Further investigations demonstrate the coherent charge-transport properties and existence of metallic state. The benchmark performances in electrochemical transistors and thermoelectric generators are also demonstrated.

Dichlorinated Dithienylethene-Based Copolymers for Air-Stable n-Type Conductivity and Thermoelectricity

Jinfeng Han et al.

Summary: By coupling difluoro- and dichloro-substituted forms of the electron-deficient unit BDOPV with the donor moiety ClTVT, two donor-acceptor (D-A) polymers were obtained with different conductivity and power factors when doped with N-DMBI and CoCp2. The air stability and performance of the doped devices were significantly influenced by the choice of polymers and dopants, as observed through X-ray scattering and atomic force microscopy.

A Distannylated Monomer of a Strong Electron-Accepting Organoboron Building Block: Enabling Acceptor-Acceptor-Type Conjugated Polymers for n-Type Thermoelectric Applications

Changshuai Dong et al.

Summary: Acceptor-acceptor (A-A) copolymerization is an effective strategy to develop high-performance n-type conjugated polymers. By synthesizing a strong electron-deficient BNBP monomer, A-A type conjugated polymers with ultralow LUMO energy levels were successfully developed via Stille polycondensation, showing promising thermoelectric properties. This demonstrates the great potential of A-A type organoboron polymers for high-performance n-type thermoelectrics.
