Introducing hierarchical hollow MnO2 microspheres as nanozymes for colorimetric determination of captopril

Mohammad Nazifi et al.

Summary: A simple sensor was developed for colorimetric determination of captopril using hierarchical hollow MnO2 microspheres as nanozymes with peroxidase-mimetic activity. The sensor showed a linear concentration range from 1.0 to 30.0 µg mL(-1) and a detection limit of 0.26 µg mL(-1). Practical application of the sensor was demonstrated for measuring CPT content in pharmaceutical formulations.

Shengnan Fan et al.

Summary: Cu@PB NCs exhibit enhanced POD-like activity compared to PB NCs and HRP, and can be utilized for colorimetric assay of ALP activity by oxidizing TMB in the presence of H2O2. Introduction of PPi results in decreased POD-like activity of Cu@PB NCs, while ALP hydrolyzes PPi and restores the activity of Cu@PB NCs.
