Original article: The prognostic value of including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in the definition of metabolic syndrome

Summary: This study evaluates the accuracy of including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in the diagnostic criteria for metabolic syndrome in capturing individuals with metabolic dysregulation and predicting adverse events. The results show that including NAFLD allows for a more accurate identification of individuals at metabolic risk.
