Numerical investigation of the influence of aerothermoelastic dynamic response on the performance of the three-dimensional hypersonic inlet

Kun Ye et al.

Summary: The influence of aerothermoelastic dynamic response on the performance of three-dimensional hypersonic inlet is investigated. The results indicate that the dynamic response changes the shock wave structure, strengthens the shock wave intensity, increases the length of the separated region, and alters the flow field. The dynamic response also leads to the fluctuation of performance parameters.

Thermochemical non-equilibrium effects on hypersonic wavecatcher intake at Mach 12

Feng-Yuan Zuo et al.

Summary: The study indicates that wall temperature has a significant impact on the flow structures and performance of a hypersonic inward-turning intake; decreasing wall temperature leads to reduced dissociation within the gas; the thermochemical non-equilibrium effect is significant for the intake under adiabatic wall conditions.

Experimental Study of Aeroelastic Response and Performance of a Hypersonic Intake Ramp

Sudip Bhattrai et al.

Summary: The response and performance of an aeroelastic hypersonic intake were experimentally studied, focusing on the effects of the deformation of the compression ramp on the intake performance. The results showed that the total pressure recovery of the intake decreased by up to 20% during aeroelastic deformation of the compression ramp.

Experimental investigation of hypersonic flight-duplicated shock tunnel characteristics

C. K. Yuan et al.

Summary: The study successfully constructed a hypersonic flight-duplicated shock tunnel capable of reproducing airflow for testing critical techniques for verifying hypersonic air-breathing engines. The findings not only assist in operating the shock tunnel but also contribute to the future development of hypersonic wind tunnels.
