Interface Engineering for Efficient Raindrop Solar Cell

Lingjie Xie et al.

Summary: The raindrop solar cell can collect both mechanical energy from raindrops and solar energy, achieving high energy conversion efficiency. This study proposes a triboelectric nano-generator with high rain droplet energy conversion efficiency, integrated with a perovskite solar cell through shared electrodes. By adjusting the water droplet parameters, the raindrop output power and mechanical energy conversion efficiency reach 0.68 mW and 12.49%, respectively.

Flexible Models for Galaxy Star Formation Histories Both Shift and Scramble the Optical Color-Mass-to-light Ratio (M/L) Relationship

Yijia Li et al.

Summary: There is a close relationship between galaxy optical color and stellar mass-to-light ratio which is used for efficient stellar mass estimates. The origins of this relationship are unclear, and it is important to investigate whether it comes from the natural order in the galaxy population or from the models used. By comparing the results of a simple model and a more sophisticated model, it is found that the complex model has a similar relationship but with higher scatter and is affected by stellar aging and redshift evolution.
