In Situ Fabrication of Cuprous Selenide Electrode via Selenization of Copper Current Collector for High-Efficiency Potassium-Ion and Sodium-Ion Storage

Xi Chen et al.

Summary: A facile in situ fabrication method was developed to prepare an integrated cuprous selenide electrode for potassium-ion and sodium-ion storage. The electrode exhibited high performance due to its unique thin-film-like nanosheet morphology and robust structural stability, which effectively restrained volume change and loss of selenide species. This strategy opens up a new direction for designing and preparing high-performance electrodes.

Polyrrole-encapsulated Cu2Se nanosheets in situ grown on Cu mesh for high stability sodium-ion battery anode

Luchao Yue et al.

Summary: A productive approach of in-situ coating conductive polymer carbon is proposed to preserve the structure of copper selenide (Cu2Se) anode in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). The encapsulation of Cu2Se nanosheets with polypyrrole (PPy) shell improves electronic conductivity and alleviates volume swelling, resulting in satisfactory electrochemical performance including high specific capacity and impressive rate capacity.

Confining MoSe2 Nanosheets into N-Doped Hollow Porous Carbon Microspheres for Fast-Charged and Long-Life Potassium-Ion Storage

Fulan Zhong et al.

Summary: MoSe2@N-HCS, fabricated via spray drying and high-temperature selenization, shows a superior rate performance of 113.7 mAh g(-1) at 10 A g(-1) and maintains a high capacity of 158.3 mAh g(-1) at 2 A g(-1) even after 16,700 cycles for PIBs. Its outstanding electrochemical performance is attributed to its unique structure, N-doping, and robust chemical bonds, making it a promising anode material for PIBs.

Dual 2D CuSe/g-C3N4 heterostructure for boosting electrocatalytic reduction of CO2

Hao Zhang et al.

Summary: This study focused on the synthesis of CuSe/g-C3N4 electrodes for electrochemical CO2RR, with the best performing electrode having a Faradaic efficiency of 85.28% at 50wt% CuSe on g-C3N4, 1.47 times higher than pure CuSe NPs. The introduction of g-C3N4 NSs provided a larger specific area and faster electron transfer speed, enhancing the CO selectivity of CO2RR.
