Lanthanide-doped Mn2+-based perovskite-like single crystals: Switching on highly thermal-stable near-infrared emission and LED device

Yue Su et al.

Summary: This work presents the synthesis of lead-free all-inorganic Mn2+-based perovskite-like single crystals using a designed nonstoichiometric precursor ratio. The special crystal structure enables efficient blue light excitation and red emission from Mn2+, allowing for a good match with commercial blue LED chips and efficient sensitization for Ln3+ emitters. Additionally, the incorporation of Yb3+, Er3+, and Ho3+ enables multiple NIR emissions in CsMnCl3 single crystals. Notably, the Ln3+ NIR emissions exhibit robust thermal-quenching resistance above room temperature, showing (near-) zero thermal-quenching and even anti-thermal quenching.

Sintering behavior, structure and dielectric properties of CuO-ZnO-MgO-B2O3 glass-ceramics for ULTCC applications

Wenkai Gao et al.

Summary: High performance ultra-low temperature co-fired ceramics (ULTCC) were prepared using CuO-MgO-ZnO-Al2O3-B2O3-Li2O glass-ceramics. The substitution of ZnO with MgO improved the dielectric properties of the glass-ceramics due to the fine microstructure, high crystallinity, and decreased tetrahedral distortion. The sintering compatibility with Ag and Al electrodes was also demonstrated. These ULTCC materials have potential applications in the field.
