A facile blow spinning technique for green cellulose acetate/polystyrene composite separator for flexible energy storage devices

Summary: The search for sustainable gadgets has led to the need for more sustainable and environment friendly constituent elements and low-cost scalable fabrication techniques. In this study, a blow spinning technique is proposed for the synthesis of a cellulose-based separator for flexible energy storage devices. A cellulose acetate and polystyrene (CA:PS) based composite separator is synthesized for the first time for flexible supercapacitors. The fabricated devices exhibited good washing stability and high capacitance retention.

The optimized PEDOT:PSS/CNP exhibited excellent flexibility, high tensile strength (72 MPa), and high electrical conductivity (66.67 S/cm), making it a promising electrode material for flexible supercapacitors. The symmetric supercapacitor assembled using PEDOT:PSS/CNP showed outstanding electrochemical performance with high specific capacitance and energy density, as well as remarkable cycling stability.

Energy release from RuO2//RuO2 supercapacitors under dynamic discharge conditions
